Synopsis

From award-winning writer Lynda La Plante. DS Jake Brown (Eamonn Walker) and DI Carl Harrington (Ade Sapara) are both police officers, but the similarity stops there. Jake is streetwise, tough and already a top undercover officer specialising in drugs. Harrington is Cambridge educated, squeaky clean, and on the fast track to a desk job at the top. But when Harrington decides he wants to gain credibility by tackling drug crime as well, they are thrown together in dangerous undercover operations in Manchester’s seedy drug lands.

Along with five new rookies, both police officers will have to be on red alert as they are sent undercover to bust huge drug deals, become embroiled in scandal, blackmail and tragedy, and come face-to-face with an ex-double agent from the Soviet Union.
