Police corruption, betrayal, and murder

Eighteen year old Amelia is struggling to find a place in the world after being fitted with a cochlear implant, enabling her to hear….

Breaking free from her over-protective parents, she goes to stay with her kindly Aunt Maggie and homicide detective uncle, Jim. Amelia witnesses the audacious murder of a policewoman and is reluctantly propelled further into a loud and frightening world.

Jim is assigned the case, and when Amelia identifies a drug squad police officer as the killer, he urgently needs to protect his niece. But hiding her from his colleagues jeopardises his career and puts his family at risk.

All lives are hurled into a cacophony of police corruption, betrayal, drugs and murder.
