Home sweet home?
This revealing format guarantees to entertain as three proud owners of ‘Bed & Breakfast’ guesthouses are asked to assess each other’s establishments and decide which one is offering the best value for money.
All over the world, proud homeowners open up their homes to paying overnight guests - but what does it take to create a good quality B&B? From heritage houses with a ‘no kids’ policy to sleek modern homes full of the latest mod cons; from ‘no dogs’ to seven dogs jumping on you on your arrival and from a stale croissant outside your door to an all you can eat breakfast feast served on the best family silver... B&Bs are extensions of their owners’ personalities, reflecting their tastes, values and class.
With their hosting skills set to maximum, each husband and wife pair of B&B owners welcome their competitors as they arrive to spend a night sampling and scrutinizing the facilities, taking a tour of the local area as recommended by the hosts, and eating a delicious, or perhaps not so delicious, breakfast in the morning. Judgement comes as the guests reveal how much think their overnight stay is really worth and why. They are free to pay as much or as little of the bill as they want.
Tastes collide, styles clash – with great characters and guaranteed humour. This hit series with over 100 episodes in the UK was created by Stephen Lambert.
