From the creative powerhouse at Studio Lambert comes a major new commission for Channel 4; a new concept in observational reality, which follows the lives of real people in real time, capturing a collective multimedia conversation.
Filmed and broadcast over one week, with contributors experiencing the reaction to and consequences of their on-camera actions, SEVEN DAYS: is an innovative and ambitious approach to a real life-soap-making. An iconic location is selected and a cross section of 20 to 30 locals is ‘cast’. Social hubs are selected to provide a variety of set locations of interactivity (bars, clubs, shops, etc.) with fixed cameras. Events are real and happen because people decide that is what they want to do – be it a significant decision about changing a personal relationship or just where to go for dinner. The choices they make are real, because this is real life. Our ‘cast’ of characters know that their actions will be scrutinised – by viewers and online communities through CHATNAV our specially devised and formatted online social networking tool. This innovative application is open to each character and the audience to view, follow, comment and influence … the cast will be able to respond to the feedback they receive immediately.
